Story
I’m a public service leader with more than 15 years of experience working at the point where government and communities meet. Most of my career has been in crisis communications, supporting people through emergencies where clear, timely information can truly make a difference.
Throughout my career — including leadership roles with Island Health, Power To Be, the Province of British Columbia, and the University of Victoria — I’ve led communications for billion-dollar infrastructure initiatives, public-safety incidents, organizational disruptions, and community-sensitive issues. I’ve advised executive leaders and ministers, built emergency-response communication frameworks, and coordinated multi-agency strategies under intense public scrutiny.
I’m known for calm, optimistic leadership in fast-moving situations. My approach combines data-informed strategy, behavioural insights, and strong media judgment with a deep respect for community voice and Indigenous partnership. I believe effective communications isn’t just about messaging — it’s about building durable relationships and public trust before, during, and after a crisis.
